I like a good burger as much as the next guy and therefore can happily say that I have found a local Cafe that does a really cheap and REALLY tasty Chicken burger. I visited Espresso Organica today at Concord, after having walked past on many occasions and seeing the entire place packed and jumping with life and energy.
The atmosphere was lovely (perhaps a tad noisy but you expect that in a completely packed cafe), and the food was nothing short of spectacular. $16AUD will buy you the chicken burger you see to your right and for $4 more a soft drink on top of that. I can happily say it was a great burger (on Turkish bread) and a decent sized soft drink as well. The burger was so tasty I even went so far as to pass back the compliments to the chef so I highly recommend you give it a go.
On the menu they also have a wide array of wood-fired pizza which will definitely feature on a future to try out list. So if you are in the vicinity of Burwood or Concord drop in and check them out for a wonderful feed and spectacular service.
After seven and a half years, 156 credit points, 25 subjects and a WHOLLLLLE lotta pain I have completed my last two exams to mark the end of my degree. In a mere few months time I will be graduating with a Bachelor in Information Technology with a Diploma in Information Technology Professional Practice from the University of Technology Sydney.
I can say it has been an extremely long haul and hasn’t been withouts it trials and tears. The feeling of being free is really starting to settle in and I am very much looking forward to moving on, and looking towards enjoying life without the stress of assignments and exams hanging over my head.
So keep an eye out in late September, I can pretty much guarantee there will be a post with pictures of me at graduation.
While a little random I discovered a rather cool way to get the last bits out of my margarine container today. To get all the remainders off the sides try flipping your butter knife so you are using the straight blunt side, run it round the edge of the container at approximately a 45 degree angle and you will scoop up pretty much all of the butter/margarine off the sides.
Next task for my brain to work on… how to tackle the bottom of the container
It might be short, it might be sweet but hey it was a little win that I discovered today. Enjoy your long weekend fellow Aussies and everyone else enjoy the rest of your weekend.
How many times have you had a great experience with a company after which you proceeded to shout it out to the world? OK, now same question, but where you have had a bad experience? As you will know from my blogs I am definitely not one to shy away from shouting out to the world if a company treats me poorly. However what you will also notice is that I am very quick on the trigger to shout out with praise when a company does something right.
Recently I decided after having repeated exceptional experiences at a local store I decided to send corporate an email. I shouted out to their management regarding exceptional service from one of the managers at their stores. Little did I know that the email (within 24 hours) was circulated company wide and the manager it was regarding was tickled pink. By a customer recognising the exceptional work and service they were providing it only added to their drive to keep up the good work.
So next time you have GREAT service from a company, shout it out on social media, shout it from the heavens it can have even greater positive effect on an organisation and the service that they provide than when you shout out about the bad times.
Just my 2c of wisdom for the day.
